Mind-matter...

I knew a guy for years, gen Xer. Years before I knew him, he made his own EVP "voice box." It's relatively easy if you know how to use gear like microphones, sound production hardware & software. He built it, turned it on - sure enough, he started communicating with voices. He became fascinated with this hobby. At one point, the voices were with him with no EVP box at all - they just spoke to him using his internal perception, similar to the phenomena of hallucinations - but still very real. They tried to dominate his life, wouldn't leave him. Years later when I was talking to him, they were still there holding him hostage. But he could still function, hold down a job, etc. They may remain 'in his head' for the rest of his life, sometimes "manifesting" in small, playful ways. That mind-matter stuff is beyond a nuclear bomb in its potential to destroy lives.

Wow, that's a wild story.

Personally I'm leery of stuff like that because I it could be playing with the possibility of summoning something demonic.

I've seen those on the ghost hunter TV shows over the years and they're definitely a freaky thing.

That's a wild story about your friend. I pray he is well and rid of that entity.

Yes, I've heard some crazy theories from people on this topic.

According to Genesis 6, the Nephilim were the children of the relations between the sons of God and daughters of men. Angelic creatures, that have fallen. However, as we study in our Men’s Study group at Parkside Church here in NE Ohio, the main things are the plain things. The Bible touches on many things that lead us into worm holes that are not beneficial to us in our walk “in Christ”.

I like the context of the input here tho’, it’s interesting to ponder. Jesus speaks of much truth contrary to the things that the Jews of his era thought were passed down which refuted his sonship. The hierarchy in Judaism to this day refuses to acknowledge him. Many things are a mystery that only the Godhead knows for fact. His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are far beyond our craniums. The main thing I’m expressing is the foreshadowing of Jesus was apparent in the text of the scriptures of old, and He is relevant now and into our future in Heavenly places… we simply must believe. We can only imagine the things our creator will disclose at the proper time. Good stuff man.

Hey John I appreciate you sharing your feedback.

Yes, I personally believe that with all the mystery and deception going on in the world that it's important to have a foundation for truth and that foundation for me is obviously the effort involved in growing my faith and learning the Bible.

However, in that journey I believe it's ok to seek out knowledge and to explore things that may initially seem less clear, but will present themselves in time particularly if we use the discernment within us from the Holy Spirit and our daily walk.

The reality is that there are a lot of mysteries in the world and the enemy understands this as well and wherever the enemy resides you can count on deception. This is why I believe it's a good idea to be aware of our environment and to do our best to at least begin the effort of trying to make sense of it because the enemy is always lurking and wanting to twist, deceive, and distort the truth.

This is the case with everything whether it involves UFOs, or not.

God bless.

Brandon, straight to some big issues here. I too am a believer in Jesus, yet there is a lot more than meets the eye. If you find time, read a novel re Jesus by Lewis Keizer, a true, mighty mind doing the Lord’s work. It’s called Yeshua, the Unknown Jesus. Keizer, not bound by a Pope or Major religious group, tells Jesus’ story with everything we’ve learned since the Bible.

Fantastic.

Thank you for sharing this James. I will have to make a note about that.

Yes, Jesus is absolutely phenomenal. Even now the more I learn about him I continue to be blown away.
