As in most things people want to believe in their "Cause". Doesn't matter what other evil might come with it as long as "My Cause" is supported. Almost all of today's ills can be defined by "My Cause": Global warming: I want it fixed and I don't care if billions die in the process of this fictional "Cause". It is mine and I want it fixed NOW. Abortion: I don't want to hear about the millions of babies killed. It is my body, my choice unless it is about a jab then autonomy doesn't count. Most people today seem to want you to prove the negative instead of them proving the positive. "Every one needs the jab or we all die", Do you have any proof of this? No, but prove it isn't true. Peoples stupidity drives me frickin crazy

Absolutely. Most people don't think about a principled stand. They think more in terms of "what I want."
